Photo Blog: The News and Views at Zzzone Photography
This photograph of Bristol’s most famous Clifton Suspension Bridge is available for sale as a signed limited edition print. The image has created a lot of interest when on display in the studio. It is made up of the combination of 20 photographs to increase both the detail resolution of the image and also the dynamic range, recording both the significant highlight detail around the bridge lighting and also the shadow detail particularly within the foliage.
Lots of photographers have taken lots of shots of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. Is this one any different? I would like to think so. Again, a combination of about 20 images make up this very high resolution photograph.
The Clifton Observatory is the small tower on the left hand side which was originally a windmill built in 1766 to grind snuff. Unfortunately a few years later it was damaged in a gale and caught fire and then lay derelict until 1828 when it was refurbished to accommodate a camera obscura which is still there today.

I am sure there aren’t too many Bus Stations in the UK like this one! Designed by Bblur Architects, the aluminium clad UFO is certainly very shinny and attracted many comments from the locals whilst I was doing this short video for Dorma UK. (more…)
This photograph again is the combination of 21 images and is the same as this panoramic image but is the full crop. This is one of those images I am not able decide on the best crop. So both are provided here!
The image is special because Bristol Docks very rarely freezes over and the shot needs to be early morning near mid winters day to capture the sunrise in the south east over Bristol and Bedminster

This panorama was part of a commission for the Prudential, owners of The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. Make sure you view the 360 virtual tour full screen by clicking on the button far right.
Actually this preliminary panorama was taken above the barrel vaulted roof on the Shopping Centre to show the extensive car parking close by. The final version for the Prudential was to be taken from a ‘cherry picker’ to be positioned suitably within the car park area and show a more conventional perspective of that part. When we get around to doing that I will post it here! For those who know The Mall, I am actually above the WHSmith unit in the centre. (more…)

This was a small part of a commercial photographic commission spread over four days at locations all over the UK for Peel Design Build. This client started initially as shop fitting company, H Peel & Sons who have expanded and work for prestigous clients all over the UK. This project in particular certainly shows off the quality of their work.
Peel’s client here is The Landmark Hotel, a very stylish five star hotel in the centre of London. The address is 222 Marylebone Road and hence the name of the above, theTwo Twenty Two Restaurant & Bar.
